I feel great! My throat is all closed up. I seem to continously cough up a lung. My body aches all over. My nose is running a marathon. Oh, and my chest weighs 1,000 pounds. However, I feel wonderful!
For those of you who don't know me, I am the type of person who never stops. It's why I can work 18 hour days on a regular basis. Recently though, I just haven't been motivated to do much. Well, being sick changed all that.
I just spent 2 days sick in bed. Instead of sleeping, I sat with my computer and worked endlessly on the 50 new projects that have come my way. It was AMAZING! I felt like a machine! Like my old self again.
Yes, I blame "clearing my schedule" for my immense productivity.
The lesson for me is to set aside a day a week without meetings (that includes conference calls). This way, I can accomplish all that I need (or WANT) to within a given day. Even if it is a day of reading, it's still a FREE day to do what I WANT!
So, note to self: Take a day for you! Even if you're not a workaholic like me (I love what I do, btw), you'll be grateful for it. I know I am! :-)
